(Re-) Cover
The collaborative book project called (Re-) Cover focuses on reimagining existing music album covers through
typographic design. The project encourages to explore the expressive potential of typography by transforming familiar visual material into new black-and-white interpretations. By combining creative reinterpretation with typographic principles, the project offered a hands-on opportunity to understand how type can reshape meaning and enhance visual communication, while also emphasizing collaboration.

Description
In the (Re-) Cover project, each participant selected seven music album covers and redesigned them in black-and-white, applying unique typographic treatments to each. The aim was to reinterpret existing designs while exploring different font classifications and typographic principles. The final outcomes were compiled into the book “(Re-)design”, which showcases our creative approaches and demonstrates how typography can transform and communicate meaning in familiar visual material. This project emphasized experimentation, visual analysis, and the role of typography in design interpretation.
